Hannah Ball - A Headshot Photography Case Study 

I'd like to introduce you to Hannah Ball with this blog, who I photographed this spring.  I first took some headshots for her back in 2017, and it was time to update them earlier this year!

Hannah was working as a solicitor, but has just joined Rosefield Divorce Consultancy, so needed a new headshot to match the company's existing photos for their website. She also wanted to get some less formal photos taken at the same time.

Even though we'd done some before, she was still a little worried, but it was lovely to catch up and we had another nice relaxed photography session.  We took them at Hannah's home as she has some nice bright rooms, including a light plain wall for the headshots, and which gave us a few different backgrounds instead of just an office look, and helped Hannah feel more at ease too.

So you can see that we managed at least three different outfits in our 45 minute standard headshot session, and a few different backdrops, as we were all in and around the same house.  (It's always a relaxed shoot by the way, I don't time you getting changed and take that off our photography time!).  5 photos come included with this session, and Hannah chose a few extra as well.

If you noticed, you might be curious that I'm only showing you photos of one side of Hannah - I always start headshot shoots by taking both sides as well as straight on, just in case the sitter (and I!) have a preference for one over the other.  Usually both work, but in this instance, we both preferred the same side of Hannah! 

The black and white version faces the other way as I flipped that one for Hannah, so it matches the one on the company website it was for, and works on the page as it is used over on the right hand side.  Check it out in action here!
